It was a good weekend for Marlins as they took to the last open meet on the 2011 calendar.  The meet took place at the new Hillingdon 50m pool and attracted big clubs such as Ealing, Camden and Guildford City.

A small bunch of Marlins swimmers made the trip to West London and it was worth it for every one.   Nearly all swimmers came away with at least one pb, even though most have either recently recovered from or were ill with a bug.

Head Coach Lawrie said “it was great to see our swimmers step up against top opposition and swim pbs and win medals, especially with illness within the club and a long 4 weeks of racing.  It was a good way to finish out the year and I look forward to the New Year”

Competing Marlins swimmers were Matt Gibson, David Masters, Alex Bowen, Oliver Goodhew, Ryan Dooley, Claire Shaw, Georgie Gratton & Emma Shilton.
